Yes, you can overcome and defeat the curse of alcohol abuse or dependence on drugs and

We, in Scotland, to tackle the enormous influence of alcohol and expertise. I'm sure it's as if you want to read this article. Our titles this morning, said: "Highland anger that the chain expects to sell drinks bar New Year!"

I serve as chaplain at Inverness Prison, and sit in the playground of the panel that "the children's court in Scotland - a great system going - and so often in the various reports I read these words -" LEDAlcohol. "

Let me show you how the life of a man in this field that says what happened to a very popular and respected teacher of the Bible, they become dead for some years. I studied his teachings in detail, and I know that this man was for real!

A glass of whiskey at six in the evening, had the habit of philosophers Derek Prince, during classes at the University of Cambridge. This continued in the early days of 'army.

After a dramatic unexpectedEncounter with the Risen Christ in an office of the army, the situation has changed suddenly. I wrote about this in other parts of the electronic edition. His biography is to read too.

Derek did not hesitate to drink whiskey, but the next night, after the experience of the living Christ, as he made his way to the bar, legs together.

Suddenly he realized that he had no interest in approaching the counter of his whiskey. Another thought occurred to him.

He had undergoneThat day, the curse of a group of soldiers without.

Not only that God had touched his heart, but God had touched his lips. the words flowed from his mouth, and so was in his mouth - God has changed the habits of a lifetime.

The previous night, did not say. The next day, I could barely stop praying, but one of his military duties.

God says that we all say that when a person is born again and how heChrist is a new creation. The old has passed away. The new has come.

The transformation may be sudden. A man can change the situation almost immediately, but also think about what is happening.

Hail, what does not. Record what you do not do well, setting their feet in a new way, and also give you a fresh vocabulary in more than one meaning.

Jesus said to his lips and contaminate soilsAtmosphere.

When a man encounters the living God, the old desires are discarded and new skills.

This is the true story of a man defeated and conquered the curse of alcohol. The ads show us that side do not absorb, leading to fights, quarrels, the family line, children in homes, prisons, or deleted.

There is an answer, and if it can help to think, or a friend who is struggling with alcohol on you as soon as possible.

Drug Abuse and Alcohol Abuse - The 9 Underlying Causes and 2 Major Reasons They Abuse Drugs

What are the underlying causes of drug and alcohol abuse? And why do you need to know? If you're trying to solve a drug or alcohol abuse problem, wouldn't it be a good idea to find out first what's causing it? Obvious question right, well maybe not so. Perhaps knowing about the cause to drug abuse is the first step to solving the problem.

Drug and alcohol abusers were all born with various degrees of abilities and inabilities. The less able drug or alcohol abuser are the more dependent they became.

An easy example to show is with children. In their early age, they're unable to cook, or work for a living. Therefore they depend on their parents to survive.

As children grow, they learn new skills, and as a result, become less dependent on their parents.

The more able children become in dealing with challenges in life, relationships, and work, the less dependant on their parents they become.

Another simple example is an injured person who just broke his leg and is temporarily dependent on crouches until he or she regains their ability to walk.

The problem with alcohol and drug abusers is they lack some natural abilities that are basic and essential to succeeding in life.

Some or all of the hidden causes of addiction fit into one of these 9 situations.

Drug And Alcohol Abusers Have Difficulties With:

PROBLEMS they can't solve, often the problems multiply when they take drugs. Many have unresolved internal conflicts.

Sometimes, family, friends, the police or doctors need to step in to help them out.

PAIN - They aren't able to tolerate disappointment, pain and upset. They immediately try to block out painful feelings and sensations
Trust: They aren't able to be trusted and many don't trust themselves
Promises, they aren't able to keep their word once given and have difficulty following through on promises
Self Esteem: They're unable to be themselves and express themselves easily
Memory, they have difficulties remembering things and often forget
Luck, they seem to have awfully BAD luck
Goals, they seem unable to reach their goals and give up on their true goals
Truth, they have a hard time telling the truth

If a loved one fits into all of these categories, pay attention as you'll need a program of recovery to save their lives before it's too late.

Here are the 2 major reasons people use drugs:

To Ease pain
To Avoid problems

Many addictions follow accidents, failures, breakups, losses of self respect, giving up on life goals, job problems, . .. . The list goes on. What is common to all these pains and problems is the ABSENCE OF a better solution and an inability to resolve the original problem. Factually, what's missing was a real accessible solution to the problem in the first place.

Drug, Alcohol and Rehab Article - Executive Intervention

It may be difficult to believe that doctors, lawyers, judges, airline pilots and Fortune 500 corporate executives suffer from addiction, yet it is important to understand that addiction is an equal opportunity disease affecting professionals in the same way as it does for everybody else.

An executive intervention is an excellent option for individuals who are highly productive and functional in the workplace and who suffer from the disease of addiction. In these cases, the employers or partners of the professional are faced with the reality that addiction is a progressive disease, and that it is just a matter of time before the addiction causes productivity to decline, a work related accident or incident to occur, or deteriorating health, leaving the employer/partner no choice but to dismiss the once highly valued worker.

In the case where the employer is fully aware of the substance abuse problem, they can be a highly motivating force in the executive intervention. While it is preferable for the addict to make the decision on their own to accept treatment, oftentimes the addiction may be preventing any level of rational thought necessary to make such a decision. If the message delivered by the employer/partner at the executive intervention is grounded in complete support and with the assurance that the addict's position of employment will remain, provided treatment is accepted, the addict has an added incentive to accept treatment and begin the process of recovery.

There are situations where employers may not be aware of the employee's substance abuse problems. The family and friends are painfully aware of the addiction, yet the addict has been successful at hiding it from the workplace. The family may be justifiably concerned that it is just a matter of time before the addiction causes problems at work and jeopardizes the addict's employment status. In this case, the family must exercise great care in the executive intervention. It is ill advised to announce to employers and partners of the addict the existence of the addiction and the desire to go forward with an executive intervention without first consulting with an intervention specialist and discussing the risks and issues relative to any such disclosure.

Another issue that frequently appears in executive interventions is ego. I've intervened addicts on every level of the economic spectrum, and, for the most part, they have been charismatic and highly intelligent individuals. In an executive intervention, egos may have been elevated to a higher level. Advanced education, financial status and professional degrees and licenses sometimes create an additional defense mechanism that interventionists face in an executive intervention. As an example, it would not be unusual to expect quite a bit of negotiating and outright objections when intervening an attorney. The executive or professional status of the addict should not be construed as intimidating or a deterrent from going forward with the executive intervention. It does, however, illustrate the need for considerable preparation in the pre-intervention meeting.

Perhaps the most important factor to consider if you have a friend or family member who is suffering from addiction, is that addiction is progressive (gets worse over time) and that it can be fatal (accidents and a multitude of health related issues). Simply put, good things don't happen to people suffering from addiction and the problem rarely goes away on its own.

How To Prevent Alcohol And Drug Addiction

Drug addiction is a serious disorder. If not treated, it can lead to crises like loss of employment, living quarters and important relationships. And as if this weren't enough, this kind of addiction can cause illness and even death. Drug addiction is multi-layered and has a variety of causes as well as contributing factors. With the knowledge we have today, Simplistic anti-drug campaigns, such as the "Just Say No" program back in the 1980's, and even more complex programs like "War on Drugs" is not very effective. The reason for this is that these campaigns do not address the root causes of drug addiction but battles the symptoms not the causes of drug addiction.

When most people consider a drug addiction problem, their minds go automatically to old movies or TV-series. A junkie trembling on a street corner, selling her own body for her next fix, or a tragic, pale old man lying in a gutter with a needle in his arm, or even a college girl snorting a line of crystal meth in a frat house bathroom during a wild party. These images are powerful indeed, but drug addiction generally creeps up in a slow but determined pace. Months or years are passing, during which time the addicted person is still able to function in a job, maintain a place to live as well as keeping relationships going. A drug or alcohol addiction problem generally passes slowly through several phases. Just because someone you know has not lost everything he or she owns to drugs does not have to mean that he or she does not have a drug addiction problem.

One of the most insidious drug addiction is prescription drug addiction, followed closely by alcohol addiction. Let's face it; we are a nation of pill poppers and alcohol beverage drinkers. Since we were children we learned that if something hurts, we should take a pill to make the pain disappear. We also see that children are being prescribed drugs such as Ritalin in increasing amounts, as parents and doctors smudge the line between active, healthy kids and kids with a true Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). All the time we are bombarded with advertising for pain relievers, sleep medication and a lot of other remedies; prescribed and over the counter. Seen from this point of view, prescription drug addiction is not hard to understand. We hardly question the doctor thoroughly about the risk of dependency on any medication, since using medicine for almost any problem is so widely accepted. It's so easy to take the drug without question and before we know it, we may have developed a prescription drug addiction.

Alcohol addiction is almost as easy to develop for much the same reason. We live in a culture of drinking. We often go out for cocktails after work or drinking beer with friends during a sports event slowly gives way to having one, two, three, even six or eight beers every night. It feels normal to continually re-visit the bar during a night at a pub. Next thing we identify is a full-blown alcohol drug addiction.

How harsh (or maybe great) it may sound, you are the only person that can prevent alcohol or drug addiction, due to the choices or decisions you make. Although addiction is classified as a disease, it may well be one of the few diseases that people choose to get. Each drug or alcohol addicted person started their life as an addict by making a choice. You are free to make the same choice or you can choose to not allow drug addiction to be your disease. It's your choice and whether you like it or not, it is the price you have to pay for being a human with a free will.addiction a seat in your life. It's up to you.
